In a part of the world that relies on old generators to keep the electricity running through the outages – access to technology might not come to mind as a direct need, maybe not even an indirect need. But we ask ourselves, as the world becomes more globalized and interconnected through the power of technology – shouldn’t we bring alone the entire human race? Especially girls and women?

Take a listen to Friends of Gueoul Scholar, Fatou Sarr (’21), speak about the conundrums of technology in her community of Gueoul. In her second language, French is her first, listen to her shed light on the value technology has brought to her education and to her future. Fatou spent five hours researching, drafting, and completing this report – all to bring her voice to the conversation.

Give it a listen and tell us what you think!
